Mosabaikkezo Takikando is being held.
Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Ryōkan-do.
October 18th, around the Takikando Tourist Center
We will be holding the Mosabaikkezo Takikando event.
This year marks the third time this event has been held, and it is being held in collaboration with the Sumita Town Chamber of Commerce Youth Division.
This event is being held to revitalize the local area, starting from Takikando Cave, the only tourist attraction in Sumita Town.
The main event is the "Gachapon Tournament" presented by the Chamber of Commerce Youth Division.
First prize winners will receive 10 kg of new rice from Sumita Town, while second prize winners will receive either 5 kg of new rice from Sumita Town or Shine Muscat grapes.
In addition to these, you can also win Takikando Cave merchandise and sweets from local confectioneries.
To participate in the event, you need to make a purchase at one of the food stalls at the "Great Food Stalls" event held around the tourist center.
You will need the stamps you receive.
Get a stamp card, and once you collect two stamps, you can participate in a raffle once.
If the whole family participates, you might have a better chance of winning all the prizes.
At the "Delicious Food Stalls" area, you'll find stalls from Sumita Town's popular donut shop "As Coffee" and Sumita Town's brand pork "Alice Pork," among others.
Seven shops from the town, including the Iwate Tourism and Local Products Exhibition Executive Committee, will gather together, offering items such as magical spare ribs and yakisoba.
In addition, there will be a free serving of kenchin-jiru (vegetable soup) from the Green Bell Takakan Hotel in Sumita Town, chainsaw art, and more.
There are so many events that we can't list them all here.
The autumn leaves are gradually changing color, and autumn is deepening.
We hope you will not only explore Takikando Cave but also enjoy the surrounding nature.
We look forward to your visit!
