"Yatsu haka-mura" is a popular Japanese mystery/horror novel that has been made into not only movies but also TV series many times.
Among them, the 1977 movie Yatsu Haka-mura is particularly unique and popular.
The movie has a lot of cave scenes, and was shot in places lik e Maki-do Cave i n Okayama Prefecture, as well as i n three areas here i n Rokando.
One of these scenes, the most important plot point where the main character was shocked to find a mummified ancestor in warrior's armor nestled into a small hole above his head was shot here .The ladder used for the scene is still in the cave.
The movie received such great response when it was released.
